::: Scorpion are eight-legged carnivorous arthropods. They are members of the order Scorpiones within the class Arachnida. Scorpion venoms are optimized for action upon other arthropods and therefore most scorpions are relatively harmless to humans; stings produce only local effects [such as pain, numbness or swelling].

::: Malaysian Scorpion usually are black, blue-black and green-black in colour. This one actually is blue-black but I used flash when I shot it so it looked black. It was taken during my camping last year [November 2008] at Batu Maloi Forest Reserve, Negeri Sembilan, Malaysia [link] . Pretty nerve recking to take pictures in close-up because I were using simple PnS camera; cant zooming like DSLR without moved my camera closely to it. I were so scared if the scorpion run towards me [hehehe]..
